Project title
Study of the cranial anatomy and evolution of Trionychidae
Description of the project
The aim of the project is to study the cranial anatomy and evolution of trionychians. The study of a selection of trionychian skulls with the use of micro-CT scans and segmentation tools will allow to provide new insights into the internal cranial anatomy of that clade, which will be used to revise phylogenetic characters and investigate more deeply the phylogenetic relationships of trionychians.
